ARTURO CASTRO JR:

A native of Mexico City, Castro Jr. was born into a family of musicians. His father, Arturo Castro, a celebrity composer of Mexico inspired Arturo Jr. into music. Arturo began composing at the age of eight. Having studied music at the conservatory and Juan León Mariscal Music Academy in Mexico City, At age 23 Arturo had conducted a 40-piece orchestra. At age 24 he composed the scores of two Mexican Cinema Films, ’Pistoleros Famosos III’ and ‘El Secuestro de Camarena II’. He opened his first recording studio in 1984 in Mexico City and started producing and composing music for TV commercials, theme songs, soundtracks, jingles, radio spots, sound design, and film scores. Arturo developed a unique voice that attracted the most prestigious advertising agencies to work with him, amongst them JWalter Thompson, BBDO, McCan, Ogilvy and Mather, Saatchi & Saatchi, DDB, The Cartel Group, Augusto Elías, Kastner, and many more specializing in commercial scores. He became well known in the advertising industry for his ability to grasp creatives’ concepts and turn their vision into notes, sound, music as well as an additional ability to collaborate with the agencies composing memorable lyrics that exquisitely tie into their ideas.Arturo has recorded over 900 sessions, and has worked with the most distinguished, prestigious and competitive advertising agencies producing music for world renowned brands, including Coca-Cola, McCormick, Nabisco, Nestlé, Ford, Bimbo, Sabritas, Pepsico, Panasonic, among others. In 1999 Arturo relocated with his family to Las Vegas, Nevada and currently splits his time between Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Arturo has made music uninterruptedly for over 30 years. His professional expertise, talent, versatility in musical styles and unique voice makes Arturo one of the most unique contemporary composers.

Arturo holds a competitive advantage being able to speak both English and Spanish fluently, but his biggest advantage is his deep understanding and knowledge of music, cultures and sounds. Arturo’s compositions trigger the targeted response. His music never goes unnoticed.
